Avais Masud, M.D.Dr. Masud joined Shore Nephrology in 2000 after finishing his Critical Care Medicine fellowship at University of Massachusetts and his Nephrology fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University. His Internal Medicine residency was with North Shore University Hospital in New York, and he received his medical degree from Rawalpindi Medical University, Pakistan. In 2007, Dr. Masud was recognized by America’s Top Doctors. He also completed his Interventional Nephrology training that year.
Dr. Masud is the Nephrology Program Director of the Nephrology-Critical Care Fellowship program at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine with the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. Dr. Masud is the medical director of DaVita Belmar Dialysis and Booker Hypertension Clinic at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
Dr. Masud is a member of many medical organizations
including the American Society of Nephrology and American Society of Hypertension. Dr. Masud is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Critical Care Medicine (ABIM), and Hypertension (ASH/ACC). His primary areas of expertise are resistant and secondary hypertension, kidney stones, cardio-renal syndrome, critical care nephrology, and hypertension and kidney disease in pregnancy. |
