Khaled Abdel-Kader, M.D.

Dr. Abdel-Kader joined Shore Nephrology in 2024 and is a Howell, New Jersey native.  He completed medical school at Rutgers Medical School/Robert Wood Johnson.  Dr. Abdel-Kader then completed his internal medicine residency with a year as chief resident at Brown University’s Rhode Island and Miriam Hospitals.  His nephrology fellowship, with a year as chief fellow, was with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.  Dr. Abdel-Kader spent fifteen years as a faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Vanderbilt Medical Center before transitioning to private practice.

Dr. Abdel-Kader is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.  He enjoys engaging patients in shared decision making.  His clinical interests include chronic kidney disease, diabetic nephropathy, hypertension, and dialysis.
